Grief Period
"If you love your father and mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine. If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give it up for me you will save it." Matthew 10:35-39 "And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. So the days of weeping and mourning for Moses ended." Deut 34:8 "Then Joseph fell on his father's face, and wept over him, and kissed him. And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father. So the physicians embalmed Israel. Forty days were required for him, for such are the days required for those who are embalmed; and the Egyptians mourned for him seventy days." Gen 50:1-3
You have come face to face with the death of your loved ones. Death separates you from them. Death seems to be a cold and cruel barrier and it seems to mock all the love burning in your heart. In your pain, you question my wisdom in allowing your treasured loved one to die when you still need them. I am now giving you my answer: Your loved ones are mine. They belong to me. They are a gift given to you only for a temporary time. They did not belong to you. I know that you feel intense grief at the loss of your loved ones. To prolong this grief is not in my will. Your treasured loved ones are with me. They are in my peace and safekeeping. I will remain with you forever--in life and death. The path set before you is one that you walk with me . Others might join your path, but in time, they will be called to follow another way. Learn to rely on my love. I must be the center of your love. That is how you are created--to receive my love first before anyone else. Step into my hiding place that is given to you for a special communion with me. I want you to receive my love. Do not suffer needlessly. My First Year With Jesus
